Abstract (EN)
II. World War has been an important stage in the development of modern democracies. This war, which was won by the allies, was also accepted as the victory of democracy. With the end of the war, the totalitarian regimes lost power and the world conjuncture was reshaped. Turkey's general politics of the war period, was to stay out of the war. However, since the existing equilibrium prevent being neutral, a process of convergence with the western bloc, which defends democracy, has begun. One of the major elements of modern democracy has been the multi-party political order. Tries the transition to multi-party system in Turkey can be divided into two periods. In this distinction, the developments before and after the Second World War were taken into consideration. The absolute establishment of the alternative party order took place after the war. New political parties arose in this second period. The Democrat Party, founded on January 7, 1946, was the most influential opposition party in the multi-party period. The party passed from the opposition to power in the general elections, which attended four years after its establishment. Thus, the Democrat Party Period began between 1950 and 1960. The changing of the power of the People's Party, which continued for 27 years, brought a different dynamism to the power-opposition relations. The roles of the People's Party Sinop MPs in power-opposition relations and the effects on the politics of the period were the subject of this study. At the same time, the election studies of the political parties in the Sinop region were introduce and the impact on the voter and ballot results was examined. The Democrat Party Period ended with a military intervention on May 27, 1960. During this ten-year period, a total of three legislative periods took place and fourteen Sinop MPs engaged in legislative activities. The work of these MPs, who belonged to the People's Party for the first two terms and to the Democrat Party for the last period, was included in the research within the specified period. According to the activities of Sinop deputies in the parliament, it was possible to make inferences about their opposition understanding. In this context, instead of following a absolute opposition, criticisms were made in a very constructive mindset. In addition, they have been in a line that keeps the country's issues above the particle. These MPs, who were closely interested in the issues of the period, contributed to the shaping of their legislative periods.
