Strategical technology management in organization manufacturing with advenced technology: A field research

The enterprises have used various production and management technologies from industrial revolution until today. With each new technology, it has been aimed that the resources can be utilized more efficently, productively and effectively. Developments in production technolgies have made progress from production with single workbench to factory working without human. Developments in management technologies have progressed from planned production to a structure in which necessities of the customers are taken into consideration. The enterprises which do not follow these developments lose the competing advantages and cannot keep their market shares. In this study, subjects related to strategic technology management were handled by evaluating strategy and technology subjects. Then, high production and management technologies used related to technology management were studied. In the automotive sector making a valuable contribution to economy of Turkey, the findings obtained from an area study related to technology management were evaluated. The problems which this sector faces on the subject of strategic technology management were determined and suggestions aimed at resolution of these probmles were presented.Key Words : Strategy, technology, strategic technology management, advanced manufacturing and management technologies, automotiv sector
