Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, sensor applications vary in many areas. In recent years, many new sensor applications have been introduced. One of these new sensor application techniques is the transmission line based metamaterial sensor structures. The most important feature of the metamaterial structures is that they have a negative refractive index, dielectric constant and magnetic permeability. In this thesis, microwave sensors design which is suitable for transmission line metamaterial structure has been realized. The designed structure is designed to detect tricks in diesel and gasoline. Firstly, the dielectric constant values of the obtained samples were measured by means of the probe kit in the laboratory environment. The sensors structure is designed with the best sensitivity for these measured values and S_12(transmission) parameters are evaluated for each sample separately. The sensors structure was manufactured in the laboratory environment with LPKF E33 device after the sensors structure has been determined with appropriate precision. Finally, the Network Analyzer device has been employed to realize experimental measurements.
