Abstract (EN)

In this research, scientific studies on digital addiction were reviewed and global digital analysis reports from international organisations were examined. Taking into account the level of digitalisation of societies, scientific studies on digital addiction were critically examined from the perspective of relational sociology, and existing definitions and conceptualisations of digital addiction were evaluated in the context of current data. The results of the research process revealed the importance of a relational sociological approach and conceptualisation in overcoming the problem of biological and psychological determinism in relation to digital addiction. When the global digital reports were analysed in the study, it was found that the digital behaviour of countries differed according to their income levels. Therefore, it is believed that studies on digital addiction, which emerged as a pathological deviant behaviour in the processes of transformation from modern society to digital society, should be reconsidered according to today's world, unlike past studies. It is concluded that research on addiction from the perspective of relational sociology will make it possible to understand the pathological tendencies of behavioural differences at the level of regions.
