Abstract (EN)
This survey was carried on to clarify to what degree the teachers working in primary and high schools in Selendi, Manisa join in organizational culture and the applications applied to its lower dimensions. The universe of the survey comprises 164 teachers working in the primary and high schools with at least two teachers in Selendi in 2005. The survey questionnaire was applied to 164 teachers and 148 questionnaires were assessed. In this survey as a mean of data collecting, the likert type scale, which is used to scale organizational culture and the applications in the organization's low dimension, was applied. In the analysis of data, t and One Way ANOVA tests were used according to the type of data groups. In cases of significant difference at the end of One Way ANOVA test, LSD test was applied in order to find out which group's average caused the difference. In the survey, the relation between the survey's dependent variables "to what degree they participate the applications done in organizational culture and its lower dimensions" and independent variables "the teachers' properties (sex, marital status, how long they have been working for the National Education Ministry, branches, administrative missions and being a member of a syndicate)" was dealt with. The statistical analysis was made. In the analysis of relations between the degrees of joining in organizational culture and the applications applied to its lower dimensions and their independent variables, "the teachers' properties (sex, marital status, how long they have been working for the National Education Ministry, branches, administrative missions and being a member of a syndicate)" in the applications made in the administrative dimension an important difference was found. There was no meaningful difference between the participations of other lower dimensions to independent variables. Teachers' perception related to the dimensions of organizational culture "administration, loyalty to the organization, becoming identical with the organization, workplace environment, adaptation to changes, prize system, cooperation-communication, ceremonies, meetings, language, elements of physical culture" became real in medium level. According to these facts it was understood that in the primary and high schools a strong organizational culture didn't form. KEYWORDS Organizational Culture, Teacher, Primary Schools, High Schools
