The assessment of the level of teacher achievement of the values in the program for teaching social sciences in the 7 th grade at primary school

This research has been done to evaluate the views of Social Sciences teachers who teaches the 7th grade students at primary schools on objectives related to the values in the Social Sciences programme.The target population of this research is consisted of 106 Social Sciences teachers who teaches on 7th grade at primary schools around Kastamonu and its districts in 2010-2011 Education and Training Year.In this research Social Sciences Value Evaluation Scale is used as a data collection tool developed by the researcher. In application stage of the scale, the first four boys and the first four girls in class attandance list have been chosen for the assessment. So, more reasonable inferences can be attained about general status of the class and value objectives in the programme. Data attained have been analyzed in Spss Packet Programme. Personal informations of teachers and students and to what extend the objectives related to the transferred values have been figured out through frequency and percentages. Independent Sampley T-Test analysis has been done to reveal if there is a significant difference for variables of students and teachers` gender and teachers execution time at their present schools. One-way, anova analysis has been done to reveal if there is a significant difference in of variables teachers? branch and seniority; students? age, Social Sciences marks in 6th grade; income level of family, education level and age of parents.Acording to the results, a significant difference has been found between the variables of students? gender, age and social sciences Marks in 6th, fathers? education level, For the variables of teachers? gender, seniority, working period at their present school, mothers? education level and income level of family; a significant difference hasn?t been seen.Kastamonu - 2012, Page: XVI+119Key Words : Value , Value Education , Social Sciences , Objective
