Abstract (EN)

This research investigated the princibles and teachers point of view opinions about violence reasons and to prevent the violence which shown in the primary school.The research sample consisted 81 principals and 219 teachers totally 300 persons, working in the primary school in the metropolitaan area of İzmir in 2007-2008.Research is in the scannig model.?Personal Data Form? , ?The Reasons of Violence in The Primary Schools? and ?To Prevent the Violence in the Primary Schools? were used to collect the data for the research.The questions were improved by the researcher.Nine questions were answered in the research.Our questionare evauation was analysed and interpreted is SPSS statictic program.The results of the research are summarized below.Principles? scorres for the reason of violence and to prevent the violence are faller than teachers?.Teachers? scores for the reasons of violence variables as gender , age, educational level, the duration of the teaching service result in significant effects. Teachers? scores for the prevent the violence variables as age, educational level, the duration of the teaching service result in significant effects.Principles? scores for the reasons of violence variables as educational level and working level result in significant effects.The research has shown that there is a significant correlation between the perceptions of both principles and teachers? perceptions concerning reason of violence and prevent the violence.
