Abstract (EN)
This survey has been carried out in order to define the eating habits, the situation of daily zinc production and its affects upon the growing up ? development, health and success of eight class students in primary schools. This survey has been actualized upon 150 students who live in Suhut, an area connected to Afyonkarahisar and whose been area that socio ? eonomical situations are different from each other. Inquiry forms and individual nutrition production forms have been used to get the data. The information gained from inquiry forms and individual nutrition production forms have been picturized and the frequency and percent of the results belonging to children have been taken and the daily zinc production and soe antropometric measurements and the differences between them have been controlled through khi ? kare tests. The level of meaning fulness is accepted as 0.5. More than half of the students consist of girls, at their fourteens (respectively % 60.0 and % 56.7). The last term marks of the % 35.3 of students through equal rates have been defined as 3 (middle) and 4 (good).The overage school marks of the students have been found out as 3.8 ± 0.8. The daily average zinc production that boys consume as 7.5 ± 1.1 mg and girl consume as 7.2 ± 1.1 mg have been found out. The rate of the children that consume energy, tiamin and calcium RDA under % 67 the daily recommended quantity respectively is % 65.3, % 68.7 and % 97.3. The rate of the children who consume protein, vitamin A, riboflavin, vitamin C, iron and zinc as recommended daily quantitiy of % 67 ? 133 is respectively % 80.7, % 46.7, % 52.6, % 44.7, % 56.7 and % 75.3. The difference between the condition of zinc production and their ages, sex, the income their families, the educational levels of the families, the v situation of whether they took mother?s mil kor not, the situation mothers in their pregnancy if they smoked or not, lack of appetite, losing their hairs, scars on the skin, having acnes on the face, being diarrhea in the last three months, the frequency and the time of being diarrhea in the last three months, the number of the meals, eating irregular meals, weight percentile and the difference between body mass index have been found out significant (P<0.05). Through those results, recommendations have been brought about the nourishments of the children.
