Story in religion education for primary school students

With the application of new primary school Religion Culture and Ethics program, usage of story became important and demands for benefiting from the educational aspects of stories increased. In this research, topics such as what type of stories are needed for Religion Culture and Ethics classes, story selection suitable to development of students, sources of stories, what properties should be emphasized in story selection by the teachers and how story activities should be embedded in a variety of techniques are discussed. This thesis which addresses questions mentioned above were prepared by documentation method. Teachers lecturing religion may benefit from the results of the thesis.
