Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to identify the expectations of primary school teachers in terms of the level of bureaucracy, the hierarchy of authority at school, the rules and the regulations,the objectivity and procedural features ın bureaucracy levels and about the school culture,besides to find out whether those expectations differ between the personal features of teachers and the socio-economical levels of the schools. A survey was designed to collect data. The environment of the research consists of the teachers workıng ın primary schools in the Izmir Metropolis in the 2007-2008 educational year. The research was carried out ın 6 different towns of the metropolis of Izmır, they were as follow Aliağa, Balçova, Çiğli, Gaziemir, Menemen and Torbalı and the total number of teachers was 298, working in 25 schools in those towns. A positive and meaningful relation was found out between expectations of bureacracy in terms of authority hyrararcy, rule-regulations, objectvity and prosedural faetures in bureucratic levels and school culture.
