Job satisfaction of primary school teachers: Niğde sample

The purpose of this study is identify primary school teachers job satisfaction levels. Finding teachers low satisfaction level or dissatisfaction and identifying which factor differences could help to improve teachers job satisfaction levels may improve teachers ability on students and schools. Spector?s Job Satisfaction Survey -JSS (1994) used at the study. This survey includes 36 question and 9 factors and Cronbach Alpha value is .82. Nigde City Center primary school teachers-at 2012-2013 semester -is the universe and cluster sampling method used at the study. Nigde City Center public schools were used as cluster, 378 (n=378) of the survey returned found suitable for the study. As the result of the study teachers job satisfaction levels found low . As the result of analysis differences among job satisfaction and gender age and promotion are not significant. As the result of analysis differences between job satisfaction and education and branch of teachers are found significant at the p<.05 level.
