Abstract (EN)

Organizing the learning environment physically is an important dimension in effective classroom management. It is the teacher?s duty to organize the physical variants in a classroom. For the learning environment to be nice and productive, the temperature, lighting, color, seat order, number of students, etc. of a classroom should be organized as interesting and as forcing as possible to increase the quality of education.The research gives short information about classroom management and explains what physical variables are in the classroom.It gives some suggestions to the teachers about how physical variables affect the classroom management.The purpose of this research is to find out what the teachers in official governmental schools think about the physical variants affecting the learning environment.This research was applied to 330 teachers working in official governmental schools in Pendik and Kartal. The data needed for this research was obtained by a 30-item questionnaire developed for this project and was applied to the teachers. The data obtained was statistically analyzed by the ?SPSS 12. 0 for Windows? computer program, In analyzing the data; frequency and percentage were used. The reliability level was found as 05.Key words: Classroom management, Physical variables
