Secondly, it was observed that the prohibition of discrimination against children, and thirdly, the child's right to life and development was included. The principle that is given the least attention is the principle of prioritizing the best interests of the child. The principle of giving priority to the child's best interest is not included in life sciences textbooks. The principles are included in similar numbers in the social studies textbooks. Then, in the human rights, citizenship and democracy textbook, the prohibition of discrimination against children and the right to respect the child's views and participation are included more and the child's right to life and development and the right to prioritize the best interest of the child are included less.
