Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the sound level of a crawler excavator with a weight of 30 tons was determined and it was aimed to reduce the sound isolations in the cabin and the sound absorbers in the outside environment. Within the scope of the research, the openings that would affect acoustic isolation of excavator cabin were determined. Solutions suitable for these openings were developed. As a result of the tests, the highest decibel values of the excavator operating conditions, the frequency range corresponding to this value were determined. Appropriate isolation and sound absorbers were determined for these frequency ranges. Synthetic sound barrier is mounted on the cabin floor and polyethylene sound isolations are mounted on the cabin frame.as a result, the cabin noise level has been reduced by 3-5 dB Thus, a more comfortable and quiet operator area was obtained for the excavator.
