Determining the satisfaction about the destination of persons involved in religios tourism: A research onn hdj and umrah tourists's who have visited Saudi Arabia

Tourism is developed rapidly with the influence of varios needs of people, such as seeing, resting, having fun and spiritual relaxation. In particular, the wishes of the people to visit the places ordered by their religion as a result of their beliefs, faith tourism is gained importance. In this context, individuals who perform a journey ordered by their religion have some expectations from their destinations as well as spiritual relaxation and these expectations are based on the perception of satisfaction. The main purpose of this study is to determine the expectations of the tourists visiting Saudi Arabia for hajj and umrah, their expectations from the destination and their expectations of the destination. In this study, in order to measure the satisfaction levels of tourists, a descriptive research method was applied to the tourists going to hajj and umrah in Adana in September, October and November of 2018. In order to collect data, 400 samples were easily reached by non-random sampling methods. The data obtained from the questionnaires were subjected to Factor Analysis, Kruskal Wallis-H Test, Mann-Whitney U Test and Correlation tests using SPSS 24.0 package program and Mecca and Medina destination satisfaction levels of those who participated in pilgrimage and umrah visit for faith tourism were analyzed in various aspects. As a result of the Factor analysis has appeared the 4 factors that make up the Mecca Destination Satisfaction emerged.. In general, it is concluded that they are highly satisfied in the destination of Mecca. There are 5 factors that make up the Medina Destination satisfaction. In general, it is concluded that they are highly satisfied in the destination of Medina.
