Abstract (EN)

Britain's separation from the European Union has been a first for unity and the country. The referendum to leave the EU is known to the public as '' BREXIT '' created by bringing the British and Exit words together. From the first day when Britain became a member of the Union, it did not experience a complete unification.UK has not adopted the European spirit. After the 1970s, England wanted to become a member after seeing the achievements and progress of association. The idea of entering the EU is likely to be more beneficial than profit from the commercial relations with the Commonwealth countries. The fact that it is the only country that is not included in the Euro, the common currency of the Union, is the signal of the privileges it will demand in the future period. The attitude of the country towards the EU has been almost the same in the right and left governments. It is the country where Euro-Skepticism is experienced at the highest level. In this study, UK and European Union relations were examined by classifying the prime ministers and governments in the country with their periods. The euro crisis, the aid campaigns to Greece, the inclusion of the EU in Eastern European countries, the unpredictable migration of new members through free movement, has had a negative impact on UK and EU relations. Increased unemployment in the country, high inflation, annual contributions paid to the economy had a negative impact on the economy. The concern that the EU had begun to turn from a co-operative organization to a nation-wide structure coincided with British anti-Federalism. With the Brexit referendum held on 23 June 2016, the British decided to leave with a fifty-one percent vote. In this study, it was tried to prove the hypothesis that "the main cause of the separation of the UK from the EU is economic and political but economic reasons are more severe".
