Abstract (EN)
In recent years, with the rapid advancement of technology, adaptation to technology has accelerated across all sectors. Thanks to solutions developed with technology, it is possible to achieve targeted objectives more effectively with optimal time, low cost, and high quality. As a result, technological developments have intensified across the entire world and all sectors in recent times. With technology having a wide range of applications in sectors such as healthcare, industry, and automotive, many applications such as AI, ChatGPT, VR and AR have entered these fields, and the construction sector cannot be excluded from this. While the construction sector is not immune to this fundamental change, the process is progressing more slowly. Although the construction sector's adaptation to technology is limited due to its own characteristics, it benefits from various technological applications at many stages, starting from the design phase, through the manufacturing phase and the control phase, to monitoring customer satisfaction after manufacturing, and the results obtained are quite important for the sector. Although technology has increased in leading companies in our country, both the private and public sectors are progressing slowly compared to the rest of the world, and it is thought that the process needs to be accelerated. In terms of technological applications, computer software, VR, AR, MR, XR, digitalisation programmes, digital twin studies, etc. are at the forefront. This study examines the application of technological adaptation to the construction sector, conducting research on augmented reality. A hospital project was monitored throughout its construction phase, and the visuals obtained using augmented reality technology were compared with the actual conditions on site. A cost-benefit analysis was then performed based on the data obtained. The study sought to identify the areas of application for augmented reality technology in a construction project.
