Project quality control and quality assurance management in construction sector and an application example

Turkey is one of the countries in the process of economic development. Every resource to be used is important. In order to reduce the errors in resource usage, it is necessary to conduct multiple process managements at the same time and to complete the cooperation between the disciplines. This is possible with project quality management in the construction sector. The construction sector is a large part of economic progress in turkey and other countries in the world. Construction industry made through large-scale projects and improvements have been transformed from imagination to reality. All resources are consumed in large quantities in order to realize the projects during construction. By making the project management accurate and effective, it will be ensured that the losses in the resource utilization will be minimized, thus the problems will be solved and will lead to large gains. İn the second part of my study, basic information about the "quality" concept, the concept of quality management, differences between ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 2001: 2008, history of standardization, values, use according to the purposes and ISO 9001: 2015 main articles are examined. İn the third part of my study, each construction project is different, and although the project scope is different, it can accommodate foreseen events and unstructured situations. Therefore; planning, design and feasibility of a construction requires a complete system by pre-feasibility. Construction project quality management standards, project management information, tools, techniques and methods needed to ensure that the projects meet the specified objectives because of the definition of project management is a real requirement for companies. To achieve the objectives of the project are planned and managed in a way to be successful; time, cost and quality criterias are needed to keep the system balanced. According to these requirements; to reach the planned target of the project; information, vehicles, skills and technique are called "project management". I will examine how the project quality control and quality assurance management, which are the three systems that form this project management, should be established and what phases were passed when it was established. İn the fourth part of my study, ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system has been examined in a company which has construction activity, how to apply the project quality management in these types of companies, positive or negative effects of the company will bring to the whole, analyzed over the Istanbul airport construction i am currently working on. İn the fifth part, evaluations and recommendations were made for how the quality control and quality assurance management of the project can be improved and implemented in the construction industry.
