Abstract (EN)
The need for Visual Communication Design has increased with the development of technology. Meanwhile, with the invention of television, the expectation from screen-based broadcasting that entered our homes has changed, and now the basic need has turned into daily and instant news. The use of screen devices has become more personalized and more custome made day by day. Nowadays, mobile devices have also developed in parallel with the digitalization in the publishing format. Many of the content that users access on these personal devices are personalized items that they decide themselves. In addition to the ongoing traditional television broadcasting, digital broadcasting, which has been preferred by users recently, has come to the fore. In traditional television, the content transferred to the audience is limited and dependent on the current broadcast streams of the channels. On the other hand, thanks to content providers such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and BluTV, users can now access all the content in the archive of the publisher company whenever they want. They can rate these contents, specify their likes and opinions and request a special stream for them. Furthermore, they can create their own custom lists. With the help of the underlying technologies, publishers can provide more targeted content using various algorithms and these feedbacks they receive from users. It is seen that there is a new demand in parallel with the user habits in social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, which allow personalization and interaction. Recently, television watching habits have begun to evolve into interactive ones. Interactive television broadcasting, on the other hand, has to turn towards this new demand created by social media usage habits. In order to further respond to this demand, a platform or application-based system that will serve users from a single point and, that will use all these channels and media in an integrated manner, can be created. This system will take interactive television broadcasting to a new level, with the help of visual communication design. With this system, the end user will be able to manage social networks and media from a single point and use all of them simultaneously. As he is shopping for a product he saw while watching a movie and sharing about this situation on social media, on the other hand, he will be able to chat live with his close friends. Moreover, while doing all these, he will have the opportunity to use different devices simultaneously. It is seen that end users prefer digital broadcasting as they no longer accept traditional advertising, which is the primary income source of traditional television broadcasting. Thanks to this new system, the advertising structure will completely change and it will come to a point where it is accepted by the new generation of users. By embedding the product advertisement directly into the broadcast without interrupting the broadcast, the user's attention will be drawn and he will be instantly directed to the purchasing process with his approval. This direction can be made directly to the mobile device, smart television or computer, regardless of the device the user is watching the broadcast from. For this new complex system, interactive television broadcasting needs to be analyzed in terms of visual communication design in order to create an instantly acceptable user experience design and an easy-to-understand user interface design.
