Abstract (EN)

The use of antibiotics, important for human and animal health, is constantly increasing. It is observed that antibiotic resistance increases in pathogenic or non-pathogenic bacteria. In this study, the presence of antibiotic-resistant E. coli in the intestines of Mogan Lake water and fish living here and offered for consumption was investigated. Thus, the risks in terms of human health were evaluated. 8 waters in total; A total of 16 fish samples, 3 from each of 2 invasive species (A. boyeri and P. parva) and C. carpio (carp), Esox lucius (pike) and T. tinca (velvet) fish, were taken. Intestinal contents and water samples from fish were cultured, DNA of E. coli isolates was isolated, and then RT-PCR was performed. According to the PCR results, the presence of some genes encoding amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (OXA1) quinolone (qnrA) and colistin (mcr1-5) resistance was also detected in most of the E. coli detected samples. These results suggest that the aquatic environment may play an important role in the development of resistant antibiotics and the spread of resistance genes among bacteria
