Abstract (EN)
In this study, ionosphere is modeled by a cold plasma and the scattering of plane electromagnetic waves by an half-plane is investigated in cold plasma. In the first part of the problem, the half plane is considered as an impedance half-plane. Then, Fourier transform is used to obtain Wiener-Hopf equations. In the second part, the impedance half-plane is reduced to a perfectly conducting half-plane and field integrals are solved asymptotically by using steepest descent path method.
