Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of participation in sport and selected variables on peer bullying. A total of 618 people aged 14-18 participated in the study. The adolescent form of peer bullying determination scale developed by Ayas and Pişkin (2015) was used to measure participants' levels of peer bullying. The study data was analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 (Statistical Packet for Social Sciences) Program. As a result of the study data, it was found that sedentary bullying levels were significantly higher compared to the active ones. Again, the rates of peer bullying of licensed athletes were significantly lower than those without licensed. When peer bullying was evaluated by gender, men had higher levels of peer bullying than women. Those who spent 11 hours and above in the virtual environment had higher levels of verbal bullying than those who spent 10 hours and below. Consequently, it can be said that the level of peer bullying is affected by participation in sports and various selected features.
