Abstract (EN)

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common and dangerous types of cancer worldwide. The aim of this research is to determine the levels of some interleukins, trace elements and oxidative stress in patients with colon cancer. Parameters such as IL-6, IL- 10, and IL-35 showed a significant increase in colon cancer patients compared to the control group. While Vit E, SOD, and GST parameters increased in colon cancer patients, GPx showed a significant decrease in the healthy control group. There was no significant difference in VIT D, GSH, CAT and GR parameters between colon cancer patients and the control group. IMA, MDA, and PCO levels showed a significant increase in colon cancer patients compared to the healthy control group. While there was a significant increase in Cu and K in colon cancer patients, there was a significant decrease in Zn, Al, Na, Ca, and Mn compared to the control group. There were no significant differences in Fe, Mg, Cr, and Pb results between colon cancer patients and the control group. As a result, antioxidant activities, vitamins, interleukins, and trace elements may play an important role in the etiopathogenesis of the disease in colon cancer patients.
