Abstract (EN)
Today, IoT systems are widely researched and used. Valve types compatible with the IoT structure are also used in flow control. Valves with certain measurement and control algorithms are called Smart valves. The aim of the thesis is to create an automation system that aims to control and monitor the flow, and to create algorithms that can control flow, differential temperature, air conditioning systems according to energy and differential pressure by integrating differential pressure, temperature, flow measurement sensors and proportional positioning ball valve actuator parts. It is aimed to interact with the user through IoT monitoring and control features. For this purpose, literature on IoT architectures, flow calculations and valves has been reviewed, system architecture, 3D mechanical modeling and electronic board design have been carried out. In addition, the method of creating algorithms with control calculations that will work integrated with the system has been applied. Valve automation was realized with IoT architecture and card designs. Differential pressure, temperature, flow measurements were made, valve proportional positioning control was carried out, and verification tests were applied by creating algorithms for the mentioned functions. The smart valve, which emerged with the help of the scenarios suggested in the thesis study and the electronic card design realized, will find many application areas in the installation sector and will meet an important need in terms of device control and automation in the installation sector. In addition, with the smart valve design and automation features that emerged with this thesis, important information was presented to field professionals and designers. The smart valve device, designed with the thesis study, will fill the gap in the literature with electronic design studies, algorithms and tests and will be an original application for flow control applications. However, electric actuator selection was made in the design and safety and energy status criteria were not included.
