Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to obtain some selected physical and performance properties of cotton woven fabrics and to determine empirical equations for predicting them before production. For this purpose first, cotton %100 woven fabrics in 72 different constructions were produced in FESA Tekstil Company in Adana. Secondly, pre-treatment processes were applied to these fabrics in MİSİS Apre Finishing Company in Adana. Then the selected physical and performance properties of these fabrics were determined experimentaly according to relevant standarts. These properties were listed as weft and warp density per cm, fabric weight, weave repeat, fabric thickness, fabric tear and tensile strength, pilling, dimensional stability, mass losses with abrasion. Finally, some statistical analyses methods (K-S, Runs, regression, correlation.) were applied to the experimental results using SPSS package programme. Different equations were determined for physical and performance properties of the fabrics for predicting them before producing. Key Words: Cotton woven fabric, performance properties, statistical analyses
