Telafer's location in Iraqi Turkman area and examination of Dr Huseyin İlhanlı

Iraqi Turkmen literature consists of the artistic activities of an ethnic group living in the northern regions of Iraq and speaking the Iraqi Turkmen dialect. The Turkmen people who settled in the geographical area of Iraq have a rich literary tradition within Turkish literary history. Turkmen literature in Iraq, which employs Turkish from Turkey as its written language, has nurtured significant poets and writers from the past to the present. The exploration and documentation of the names involved in Turkmen culture and the arts hold immense importance in preserving the cultural richness of this region. This study aims to highlight a crucial literary treasure of Iraqi Turkmen culture by focusing on the works of the poet Hüseyin İlhanlı. The thesis examines various forms of presentation of the poet's works, particularly those shared on online platforms such as YouTube, as well as written records and documents. Hüseyin İlhanlı's literary persona, the themes he explores, and his chosen narrative style have been meticulously analyzed, emphasizing his place within Iraqi Turkmen culture. The thesis strives to introduce the poet's works to a broader audience while also laying the groundwork for future publication in book format. This way, a wider readership will discover İlhanlı's works, and the richness of Iraqi Turkmen culture will be presented more extensively.
