Liquefaction analysis of city of Ardebil-İran

Abstract (EN)
Liquefaction event damages buildings, bridges, buried pipelines, plants and other engineering structures. In this study, a liquefaction analysis was performed for the city of Ardebil in Iran. A geotechnical database that consists of field and laboratory tests results was prepared. Then, this information and topographic maps of city of Ardebil were transferred to GIS and liquefaction analyses were conducted using Seed and Cetin method. Furthermore, settlements of structures due to liquefaction were calculated. The amount of financial loss due to these settlements was estimated for Mw = 5.5 -7.57 and a = 0.25g - 0.40g .
