Abstract (EN)

This study is an ethnographic study aimed at understanding how Iranian women read women's representation in cinema. In order to understand Iranian women's life, the social, cultural and political background of the society in which they live is examined. Since the change experienced by the Iranian women's movement in this historical process coincided with the Iranian modernization proess, it has been tried to understad how the modernization phenomenon corresponds to this society. For this purpose, reception of a certain romantic-comedy film was made with Iranian female viewers. Key Words: Iran, Feminism, Modernization, Tradition, Cinema, Reception, Genre, Romantic-Comedy
