Today, Iran has approximately a population of 87 million and was formed by the combination of different ethnic groups. One of the ethnic groups that have an important place in Iran with a majority of the population is the Turks. Iran, is one of the countries with the highest concentration of Turks outside the Turkic Republics and is home to various Turkish communities, especially Azerbaijani Turks, Turkmens, Kashkays, Halachs.
