Abstract (EN)
In this work a compressor is designed and manufactured to compress the refrigerant fluids by using heat energy and also performance tests are done for the vapor compressesed refrigerant systems. In the system R-12 and R-14 refrigerant fluids are used. The experiments are done for the opened and closed cases of the valves of the regenerator pipe, while actuating the compressor with an electric motor. Additionally to understand the effects of the refrigerant fluids to the heat energy and compressor performance, experiments are performed by heating the hot cylinder from the outside while actuating the compressor with the electric motor. From the experiments done by the electric motor, the maximum performance is determined for the case when the valves of the regenerator circuit are closed. At this condition the compressor revolution is 464,3 rpm, the condenser temperature is 56 °C , the evaporator temperature is -18,45 °C and the COP is determined as 2,12. From the experiments performed by heating the hot cylinder from the outside while actuating the compressor with the electric motor, it is observed that the refrigerant fluids R-12 and R-134a show similar property when the hot cylinder is heated up to 600 °C and the fluid inside the cylinder reaches 260 °C. At this state the minimum evaporator temperature with R-12 as refrigerant gas is measured as -12,9 °C but an abrupt increase is observed when the temperature of the refrigerant gases exceeds 260 °C. The minimum evaporator temperature with R-134a as refrigerant fluid is measured as 14,6 °C and an abrupt increase is observed when the temperature of the refrigerant fluids exceeds 260 °C. In all experiments compressor revolution is measured and comparisons are made. As a result of the comparisons it is seen that in the experiments performed by heating the hot cylinder from the outside while actuating the compressor, the compressor revolution with R-12 refrigerant fluid is increased 13,7 rpm than the experiments done by the electric motor while the valves are open. This is increase is 18,2 rpm for the case when R-134a is used as the refrigerant fluid. While performing the tests the energy consumption of each experiment is measured with multi functional digital electrical meters. At the end of the observations it is seen that the energy consumption of the compressor is decreased in the experiments performed by heating the hot cylinder from the outside while actuating the compressor according to the experiments done by the electric motor while the valves are open. The decrease is 5,6 % when R-12 is used as refrigerant fluid and 7,8 % when R-134a is used as refrigerant fluids. When the electrical energy consumption is compared with the refrigerator it is calculated that the energy consumption of the experiment performed by heating the hot cylinder from the outside while actuating the compressor is 8,53 times greater then the energy consumption of the refrigerator. When compared with the split type air conditioners the electrical energy consumption of the compressor used in the experiments that are using the heat energy and R-134a as refrigerant fluids, the electrical energy consumption is calculated to be 39 % lower then the split type air conditioners.
