In orderto survive and keep on operating in the today?s competitive environment,enterprises should carry on planned and systematic studies on occupationalsafety and health. The system of OHSAS/TS 18001 guide us in the way to formthis plan. In today?s conditions, next to the arrival of economic losses, which ourcountry faces, to serious amounts, the stop of sufferings of our people alsoincrease the importance of providing regulations related to occupational safetyand health.Our new labour law, has inurred on June 10, 2003 being reprepared forresponding to difficulties faced in the former law and the demands of EuropeanUnion better. Preventing the work accidents and professional desease requirestechnological circumstances, however, it is not enough, it also requires the codesthat enforce the usage of these circumstances.This study defines the concepts related to occupational safety and health,like ISG (Occupational Health and Safety), ISGYS (Occupational Health andSafety Management System), OHSAS (Occupational Health and SafetyManagement System), in detail. Nonetheless, touching labour law on, helps tobetter understanding its relationship to OHSAS.
