Abstract (EN)
This quantitative study, which examined the impact of employees' perceptions of work-life balance on individual and organizational performance levels at a five-star hotel in Antalya, adopted a correlational survey model. Data were collected from 109 participants selected through convenience sampling using a structured survey. The survey consisted of the "Employee Performance Scale" and the "Work-Life Balance Scale," both of which have been adapted and validated for Turkish, along with demographic characteristics of the participants. Descriptive statistics, factor analyses, normality tests, nonparametric group comparisons, and multiple linear regression analyses were used in data analysis. The findings revealed that the "enhancement" dimension of work-life balance was a positive and significant predictor of all sub-dimensions of employee performance, while the "work life" dimension, which reflects the negative interference of work with private life, did not have the expected significant negative impact on performance. While no significant relationship was found between the personal life dimension and performance, education level and years of experience in the industry were found to be determinants of work-life balance and interpersonal performance. A significant difference was found only in the perception of organizational performance based on job position. The results indicate that the positive resources employees derive from their personal lives contribute significantly to job performance and that improving work-life balance is strategically important for employee productivity and organizational sustainability. Supporting employees' educational and personal development, strengthening work-life balance policies, and adopting holistic approaches that prioritize employee quality of life in managerial practices are recommended.
