Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the effect of social media use and satisfaction (entertainment, socialization and information acquisition) on the relationship between work and life satisfaction of the personnel working in the front office department of the accommodation companies in the tourism sector within the framework of the theory of uses and gratifications. In addition, the relationship between job satisfaction, life satisfaction and social media use and satisfaction with demographic variables were also examined. The research was carried out with 267 staff working in the front office department of 5-star accommodation facilities operating in Manavgat district of Antalya. 260 valid data were evaluated. As a result of the research, it has been observed that the satisfaction between the knowledge and satisfaction (r =.28) and entertainment and socialization satisfaction (r=.31) have a relative weight on the relationship (r=.32), which was found to be statistically significant between the job and life satisfaction. Within the scope of these findings, it can be said that the relationship between work and life satisfaction is affected by the satisfaction of acquiring information. When the relationships between the internal and external job satisfaction sub-dimensions and life satisfaction are concerned, the relative effect of information satisfaction was found from other satisfaction.
