Abstract (EN)

In ancient societies, it is thought that there is no distinction between the duties of men and women, but with the transition to settled life, men and women are divided in terms of social tasks. The wars, which became a part of the natural life brought the men who took the responsibility of security and protection to a superior position in the process. For example in Athens, known as one of the cities where civilization was born, women lived under the rule of their fathers, wives or sons, isolated from life throughout their lives. During this period, women were deprived of many social and economic rights. Negative attitudes towards women are not only unique to civilizations and societies, but they are also devalued by unfounded discourses on religion. So much so that the embarrassment and burial of the girls due to their inability to fight and fail to carry out economic activities shows that the woman has been devalued. With the advent of Islam, the value of women in society has increased and it has gained many social rights. In many areas of life, women were able to take an active part. During the era of our Prophet, some women fought together with men at war. At the Battle of Uhud, the first war women fought during the era of our Prophet, Umm Umar carried water the thirsty soldiers in the early hours of the morning and afterwards entered into the frontal zone of battlegraund. Umm Umar also participated in the battles of Huneyn, Khyber, and despite the many Muslims fleeing in the battles of Uhud and Huneyn, he remained on the battlefield and protected our prophet. Ümmü Süleym, one of the female companions, also one of the Muslim women who participated in the Huneyn War. Hz. Aisha participated in many battles with our prophet and served in the background with Umm Solomon in the Battle of Uhud. Hz. Aisha led a large army according to the conditions of his period and waged war against the caliph of the period Hz. Ali on the grounds that he had behaved unjustly. The aim of this study is to examine the activities of women in wartime in Islam, which values women, who are excluded by many cultures and civilizations and whose rights are revoked. As a result, it was determined that women actively participated in the war and performed various important tasks behind the front and front. Key Words: War, Women, Islam, Security, Social,Justice
