Abstract (EN)

'As The His master's thesis titled "Coup Movements Until the Collapse of the Abbasids in the History of Islam" consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction part, the definition of the coup, its types, the political formation in the history of Islam and the reasons that caused the coup were emphasized, and information was given about the subject, purpose, importance and method used in the study. In the first part, the coup attempts that took place during the Rashid Caliphs were emphasized and the developments were evaluated in terms of their causes and consequences. In the second part of the study, the caliphate of the Umayyad State, which lasted for about ninety years, is emphasized. The political history of the Umayyads was discussed in general terms, and the caliphate period, which was the scene of the coup attempt, was examined in detail. In the conclusion part, a synthesis was made in line with the information conveyed, and the causes, results and the social structure of the coups in question were evaluated in general terms. As can be understood from the rumors, changing life conditions for various reasons pushed people to think differently, when the opposing voices found a suitable ground and environment, they took extremist steps against the current administration, and finally, the coup events, the effects of which would continue even years later, took place.
