Abstract (EN)
In this work, scintillating fibers and its applications in high energy physics, astrophysics and medicine were described. Because of their fast decay time, flexibility and easy handling, they meet the requirements of high spatial resolution and fast response time for the dedector applications. The field of dedector systems with scintillating fibers is growing rapidly. A project is being prepared to developing systems using photomultipliers with scintillating fibers for medical and quality control applications in the frame of European Union 6th Framework projects. The Çukurova University high energy physics group has joined this project. Key Words: Scintillators, Scintillating Fibers, Tracking Dedectors II
