Abstract (EN)
The concept of social responsibility enables consumers and businesses to meet at a common point for education, health, poverty, the environment and similar social issues for a better world. The importance and application area of this concept is increasing day by day. Social responsibility is defined as the organization's use of activities aimed at achieving its goals and targets in line with its own interests, taking into account the time, ethical values and at the same time to increase the welfare of the society in which it is a part of the organization. Today, social responsibility has become a race between businesses, which is the promising and always winning society. The important thing here is to achieve the social benefit they aim for by correctly evaluating scarce resources. The important thing is to use social campaigns organized with these resources in a way that will benefit all stakeholders, especially consumers. In this respect, businesses should take social responsibility-based strategic additions to meet the expectations and needs of their environment. The fact that businesses attach importance to social responsibility activities and their approach to the society also positively affect the society. Social responsibility is defined as accepting the obligations that increase the welfare of the society. Enterprises increase the life level of the society when they determine the problems of the society and find solutions for these problems and work when they work. As a result of globalization, some efforts have been made to hold multinational businesses responsible for their activities, and as a result, various international organizations have focused on this issue. With these organizations carrying out activities aimed at performing the activities of various organizations such as states, consumer organizations, unions, institutions, international solidarity organizations based on certain rules, such as the fact that the states are insufficient in solving the problems related to social responsibility and the lack of a system that makes regulations and decisions at the global level. It resulted. These studies include international initiatives, CSR related standards and CSR indices. The most accepted and applied among these works is SA 8000 Social Responsibility Standard. SA 8000 standard is very important for corporate social responsibility in terms of its ability to develop a strategic perspective and to create a measurable value system. In this study, the issue of social responsibility in enterprises is described, the relationship of social responsibility with total quality management is explained and the implementation of social responsibility is examined within the scope of SA 8000 standard.
