Abstract (EN)

Education is the process of transferring knowledge, culture and behaviors from generation to generation throughout human history. Works that continue as an important cultural heritage from the past to the present play an important role in this process. One of these works is the Rûhu'l-Beyân tafsir of İsmâil Hakkı Bursevî, one of the important Sufis of the 17th century. Ismail Hakki Bursawi is especially known for his Sufi teachings. One of his works, Rûhu'l Beyân, not only provides an exegesis of Qur'anic verses, but also contains in-depth information on education and moral development. The science of tafsir guides people in many areas such as the correct understanding of the Qur'an, moral and spiritual development, transfer of knowledge and culture, and contribution to social life. In this study, by focusing on the surahs of istiaze, besmela, fatiha, bakara, âli imran, nisa, maide and an'am in the tafsir of Rûhu'l-Bayân, the elements related to education were analyzed and inferences were made on modern education. With this perspective, it is aimed to raise the individual in a holistic way by supporting the individual spiritually, beyond the traditional understanding of education.
