Bibliometric analysis of publications on ISO 27001 information security system based on WoS database

In today's information society, the most important issue is information. Knowledge has become the most valuable capital in all areas of life. Information that has become so important must be managed well, and more importantly, it must be protected very well. Information systems are faced with various threats, both maliciously and unintentionally. The way to eliminate them is to establish a systematic information management system. In this way, both management and protection can be provided. Countries and institutions that are aware of the importance of this are working to establish standards on the subject. Our study aims to bibliometrically examine the ISO 27001 standard and the publications made in this direction. In the first view of the study, the concepts were examined and literature studies were included. After the literature studies are given in the second part, information about information security management systems is given in the third part. Then there are the findings. The data were obtained from the Web of Science database and analyzed with R and R Studio programs and Bibliometriz Biblioshiny packages. The results include the years of the most publications, countries, the most active authors, publications, journals and countries, the most cited publications, authors, journals and countries. In addition, country, author and journal collaborations over time are shown. The evolution of themes over time is also included in the findings section. The study was concluded with the compilation of the results and the presentation of the recommendations.
