Mapping of noise aring from tem motorway in İstanbul Kavacık location and application of noise curtain model

Noise is expressed as unpleasant sounds that create negative impacts on people.By preparing the noise maps in metropolitan cities as soon as possible, revealing the noise levels in each region, making feasibility studies in areas where noise barrier can be applied, placing noise barriers at the required points; noise pollution caused by transportation should be prevented in sensitive and very sensitive areas such as schools, hospitals and residential buildings. In this study noise pollution prevention studies emphasized for people exposed to noise pollution living in Beykoz Hisar Houses near the highway. With SoundPlan 7.4 program, noise maps of the region have been prepared for road noise caused by the motorway in Beykoz - Kavacık area. . Due to disturbance from noise in the Hisar houses, a 4-meter-high unilateral sound absorbing featured noise barrier application was proposed as a solution to decrease present noise levels. By preparing noise maps after noise barrier application, noise mitigation from the present situation has been calculated. As a result of the noise barrier modeling studies, it is seen by the noise maps that noise levels in the residential region complied with the noise level limit values.
