In this study some biological features of Serranus cabrilla and Serranus hepatus in İzmir Bay were investigated. Sampling was made by bottom trawl between February 2007 and September 2008. 554 female and 340 hermaphrodite S.cabrilla and 443 female and 2070 hermaphrodite S.hepatus were identified from samples.Reproduction periods for S. cabrilla and S. hepatus were determined between March-May and March-September, reached first maturity lengths were found to be 129 mm and 77 mm and mean annual fecundity were found 2869 and 587 for S. cabrilla and S. hepatus respectively.Standart length of S. cabrilla ranged between 95-210 mm and total length of S. hepatus ranged between 63-119 mm. It is found that both S. cabrilla and S. Hepatus show negative allometric growth. Length-weight relationship differentiated in sampling seasons and gender for both species.
