Abstract (EN)

According to many people, ceramic is the history of culture. Earthenwarewhich is made by shaping and cooking the soil became a ceramic in the hands ofartisan and covered by glaze. For glazed bricks and tile both plate types andinside and outside wall decorations are important for Turkish history of art.Since 15th century, change in technology occurred which ensure realfamous for İznik ceramic and tile. Blue-white decorated ceramics which wasreached in 16th century started to the take place of Chinese porcelains.Aim of the researchs which also the title of thesis ?Comparison of platesforms which was produced for using in Iznik and similar productions of today?Plate forms which was produced in Iznik in 16th century and same sampleswhich are produced in Kutahya today were compared. This research emergedfrom Ottoman culture of table.What was the aim of production of the plates in thepast and today?Combination of variety of Ottoman ceramics, richness of design and colorharmony explains the superiority of İznik ceramic. In this research, Iznik ceramicswas classified according to their technics, forms and designs and it was explainedby pictures from past and today.v
