Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of Artemia and microcapsulated feed with differentratios on growth performance and survival rate of goldfish (Carassius auratus) andguppy larvae (Poecilia reticulata) were compared.Microencapsulated feed was not as effective as Artemia on the growth andsurvival rate of either goldfish or guppy larvae. Growth of goldfish fed on Artemia(from 4 to 12 Artemia/ml/day) was between 7.97 and 9.76 mm, while this wasbetween 6.80 and 7.21 mm on microencapsulated feed (ranging from 10 to 30mg/l/day). A similar result was also obtained in guppies: The growth of guppy larvaefed on Artemia (from 5 to 25 Artemia/ml/day) was between 13.02 and 17.00 mm,whereas this remained between 11.98 and 12.38 mm with those fed onmicroencapsulated feed (from 10 to 40 mg/l/day). A similar result to the growth wasobserved in survival rates as well: Survival rate was 88.91-97.61 % in goldfish fed
