Abstract (EN)

The interest on the renewable energy has increased because of the rising global heat and the decrease on the resource of the fossil based energy resources. In Turkey, the usage of the renewable energy resources is inadequate when it compared with the potential of her. When the energy recourses, which have been used for heating systems in residences, are investigated, the external dependency of turkey is take attention. For this reason, Kütahya-Simav geothermal area is so important in terms of geothermal energy potential in turkey. In this study, by taking into consideration of nine production and one re-injection well, that take place in the Simav-Eynal geothermal area, a local heating system has been designed. The living space of the residents and buildings models fit to TSE 825 are used for this. We have calculated the heat requirements of the buildings for central heating and hot water usage, and we have designed the cost of the transformation of plated heat exchangers that have been used at the buildings and heat center and in terms of heat exchange values in order to get optimum values. City network has been investigated for eight different temperature and different pipe diameters. The cost of the system has been researched in terms of different PWF values. As a consequence of the computations that have been carried out, for the most optimum value as far as the number of the heated buildings and system cost is concerned for PWF 12 is between 80/50°C system temperature and for 4D-7K building model is obtained at Model A.Key words: Geothermal Energy, Geothermal Systems, Kütahya-Simav, Residential Heating.
