Abstract (EN)

Various energy resources such as oil, natural gas and geothermal energy are found at certain depths of underground. The connection between these underground energy resources, which have a certain economic value, and the surface where the energy source will be used is provided by drilling activities. Underground energy resources have great importance at the point of increasing energy needs of our world undoubtedly. This situation has brought about a large investment, technological development and technology production for drilling activities that provide the supply of these energy resources. Although drilling activities, which have high investment costs, are carried out in accordance with certain plans within the framework of certain standard rules and accepted calculations, unforeseen situations can increase drilling costs significantly. In this thesis, a sample 3000 meter drilling well program was prepared in order to see the drilling costs and make cost calculations, as well as a general explanation of what kind of calculations are made or what calculations are used for when preparing a drilling program that is suitable for geothermal drilling activities in Turkey. The total estimated cost of the well was calculated by obtaining the expense items which constitute the cost amount based on the prepared sample 3000 meter drilling program. In this study, how drilling problems and unexpected situations in real wells extend operation times and create additional costs beyond expectations is examined.
