Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, the airway transportation gained a crucial role in the transportation industry. It is very important to acquire more work with the less expenditure in this situation. The fuel saving is one of the most important area to invest in terms of equipment and research for airway companies. The engine of an aircraft, which needs air, is requested clean air as much as possible in order to perform with more efficiency. All particles which are deposit in the air ducts leads to hard flow conditions. Because of this situation the fuel consumption and the cost of the airway companies increases. In this project conducted in Turkish Airlines Technical Research Department a fully automated system is designed for the washing of air ducts which can change its system in terms of engine type with the support of TUBITAK. In the process of the design, technical specifications during the washing are considered which are given by aircraft engine manufacturer. The design inputs have been selected in terms of the conditions of this project. In the introduction part, the purpose of the project and the industry need for washing of aircraft engine ducts are reviewed and the instances in the world are inspected. In the second part, the principles of the aircraft engine perform and flow of the air is explained in depth. In the third part the completion of technical specifications, process of the general and mechanic design is expressed. In the fourth part, the electrical and software system design is reviewed. In the final part the results of the project is covered. There are the software code, and the patent list that have been used for the design and pictures of the system in the appendix part.
