Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of a 12 week (4 days a week) anaerobic training program conducted on the participants? physical and physiological parameters, considering the Relax G tolerance. The experiment group consists of 14 Pilots, all junior level ranks (Lieutenant and Second lieutenant), belonging to Air Forces. There is no control group in this studyAll subjects? physical and physiological parameters were tested before and after a 12-week training period in Turkish Armed Forces Sports School Testing Office and Relax G tolerance was measured in Education and Research Center of the Airplane Pilot?s Health (Turkish Aerospace Medical Center) in a human centrifuge without pressure breathing during accelerationStatistical analysis were assessed by SPSS-10 which is an istatistical program. İn order to find out the pre-training and post-training differences, the mean and standard deviation of group?s test results were calculated. Nonparametric Tests (Two-Related-Samples Tests-Wilcoxon) were used for the assessmentThe results indicate the following: As a result of the training, a significant change was detected on participants? Relax G tolerance, anaerobic power, vertical jump, body weight, body fat percentage, lean body mass, leg-back power, and flexibility (p<0,05). On the other hand, no significant change was found in participants? sistolic, diastolic blood pressure and right-left hand grip (p>0,05). Results suggest that anaerobic power is an important physiologic component in Relax G tolerance and anaerobic training can improve Gz acceleration toleranceKey Words: Anaerobic, G-Tolerance, Pilot.
