Abstract (EN)
Objective: Gynecomastia is a condition in men characterized by glandular proliferation of breast tissue. The reason for the great difference between the studies published in the literature and the prevalence of gynecomastia is the lack of a standard criterion for the definition of gynecomastia in breast size. Visfatin was discovered to search for a new cytokine-like molecule secreted from lymphocytes. It is a pro-inflammatory cytokine. It has been associated with obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and has been examined in many pathological conditions.
