Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of complex training practices on some physical fitness parameters in female basketball players. In the study, 22 female basketball players who competed in the Women's Basketball 1st League in the 2023-2024 season participated voluntarily. The mean age of the complex training group (n=12) was 20.6±1.4 years, height 172 ± 6.7 cm and body weight 66.2 ± 6.7 kg and the mean age of the control group (n=10) was 21.2± 1.3 years, height 170.1 ± 7.3 cm and body weight 65.1 ± 6.4 kg. In the study, height and body weight, vertical jump, 20-meter sprint time, 25-meter V cut (floor) change of direction time, Illinois agility, standing long jump, 1-minute sit-up and modified push-up, trunk endurance and medicine ball throwing values were determined in the first and last weeks of the eight-week period. A two-week anatomical adaptation phase was applied before the eight-week period. The training period was included in the complex training program three days a week for 8 weeks for the participants in the complex training group. In addition, the control and complex training group practiced basketball technical-tactical training on the other days. In the evaluation of the data, the assumptions required for ANOVA in Mixed Measures in SPSS (22.0) package program were checked and the analysis was deemed appropriate. The significance level was evaluated as p<0.05. According to the results of mixed measures ANOVA data analysis, when the difference between the groups before and after the intervention program was compared with each other, body mass index (kg/m2), vertical jump (cm,mm), anaerobic power (watts), 20 meter sprint time (sec,ss), Illinois agility (sec,ss), 1 minute sit-up and modified push-up values (min, (pcs), trunk endurance (sec), medicine ball throwing (cm) and standing long jump (cm,mm) in the experimental and control groups, as well as body mass index (kg/m2) and 25 meters "V Cut (floor) change of direction time (sec,ss) values were found to have a significant change in favor of the experimental group. In terms of group x measurement interaction, it was determined that there was a significant improvement in both groups in vertical jump (cm, mm), anaerobic power (watts), 20-meter sprint time (sec, ss), 25-meter V Cut (floor) change of direction time (sec, ss), 1-minute sit-up and modified push-up values (minutes, pcs) and standing long jump (cm, mm) values.According to the measurements, there was a significant interaction in favor of the experimental group in vertical jump (cm, mm), anaerobic power (watts), 20-meter sprint time (sec, ss), 25-meter V Cut (floor) change of direction time (sec, ss), 1-minute sit-up and modified push-up values (minutes, pcs), trunk endurance (sec) and standing long jump (cm, mm) values. As a result, according to the findings obtained as a result of our study; it was determined that eight-week complex training practices contributed positively to physical fitness.
