Abstract (EN)

Conflict tendencies and conflict resolution skills of female football players are important factors that directly affect their careers and relationships within the team. Since awareness and development studies in the fields of conflict tendency and conflict resolution skills are thought to be of great importance for athletes in terms of increasing their individual performance as well as harmony within the team, it was aimed to examine the effect of conflict resolution levels on conflict tendencies by studying the relationship between conflict tendency levels and conflict resolution skills of female football players active in the 1st and 2nd Leagues of the 2022-2023 season in the Southeastern Anatolia and Eastern Anatolia Regions. The population of the study was 88 people, out of 125 female football players who were actively playing football in the 2022-2023 season in one of the 1st and 2nd leagues in the Southeastern Anatolia and Eastern Anatolia regions, by the full count method (to the whole population). A personal information form, conflict tendency scale and conflict resolution tendency scale were implemented to the participants. The data obtained from the scales were analyzed with the SPSS25 package program. Frequency and percentage values were designated to determine the descriptive characteristics of the participants. Independent simples t-test was utilized to analyze the data. Pearson correlation test was used to determine the relationship between the conflict tendency scale and conflict resolution tendency scale of female football players. Linear regression test was used to determine the effect between the scales. In the statistical analysis, the significance level was acknowledged as *p< .05, **p< .01 to determine the difference between the groups. As a result of the research; while a significant difference was detected between the conflict tendencies of female football players according to the variables of age and years of playing sports, no statistically meaningful difference was detected in terms of the educational status variable. Upon looking at conflict resolution skills, a significant difference was detected according to the variables of age and years of doing sports, but no significant difference was found according to the educational status variable. It has been determined that female football players' conflict tendencies are at the level of "undecided:3" (medium level), and their perceptions of conflict resolution skills are; "it is quite suitable for me: level 2". While it was observed that there was a moderate, positive and significant relationship between the conflict tendencies and conflict resolution skills of female football players, it was determined that conflict resolution skills predicted conflict tendencies in a statistically significant way. Key Words: Conflict, conflict resolution football, women's football
